As I am cleaning out my office and going through stack after stack of old magazines, I am looking through them for previously overlooked sweeper ads or other interesting ads of one sort of another before I take the magazines (hundreds of 'em) to Out of the Closet. I'll post the more amazing and beautiful ads as I find them.

Here's a gorgeous Hoover ad from the June 1961 issue of Better Homes and Gardens.

Webmaster Fred, feel free to add any or all of these ads to the POD Queue.

First new POD added since 2007. This may inspire me to add more. If anyone has any good pictures they would like added please send them to me in high definition and I will edit and size them. Let's get up to 200 pictures of the day!

Fred

Thanks Charles

And I'll get right on it. Whenever I have to update the site, I always have to go back and brush up on those HTML skills along with FTP and Robert's brilliant Perl code. Keeps the brain cells working. Like working crossword puzzles, which is recommended at my age. . .

Fred

Keep 'em coming

Fred,

What do you mean by... send them to me in "high definition"? I might have some ads, but really don't know how to send them to you, let alone HD!

Rick

Hey Fred, the Royal ad I posted here is better than the one I sent you, so when you add it, use this one ok! :)

And what about this Universal ad? Do you have it in the queue to deliver Mr. Crevicetool?!

Ugh!

That model 68 ads is one of my absolute favorites!

It's sooooooooo early 60's, and just makes me want to run and grab my pumps and my model 68 and get to work!

Great ad, but...

She would have a little suction to clean that lamp shade with if she turned the cleaner on. It wouldn't be much more, but something...
