No there was never an upright rainbow. But yes the suction is better on the e2 but the e1 has about the same so try to get an e2 but I think they are expensive even on ebay but if you have never heard an e2 turn on than let me tell you that the motor sounds odd. | ||

there was an upright rainbow labled carpet shampooer on ebay a while back, said very rare and priced as such. it was listed several times at lower prices each time. dont know if it sold. joe | ||

I saw the upright carpet cleaner on ebay just last week, still hasnt sold... its been on there for a while! I have a couple d-4 SE, i think they have pretty good suction. I love my rainbows but I still really want a new one! :) | ||
