BTW, the Hoover was a Christmas gift from John Pease! It's an amazingly effective vacuum. I had the Oreck delivered to the hospital and won't have that home for several more hours. I had to unbox it, though. :)

I love the Anniversary WindTunnel canister, it's my fave vacuum cleaner, except I don't use it because I'm afraid of scratching it! :-P

Patrick,

Those are two wonderful new toys, I am intrigued with the new Oreck, Let us know what you think of it.

BTW I love that you have your Oreck box displayed on a Stryker stretcher, nice touch. They would send me down the hall to the nut house if I tried that at work.

Considering that I live at work and only make it home to sleep before I get up at 4 and go back, I have to have anything I buy online delivered there. If I were ever not at work to receive a delivery at home or even pick it up at the FedEx/UPS office while they're open, I'd do it.

Hey Patrick, I'd be very keen to hear what you think of both of those when you've had a chance to put them through their paces!

Patrick,
I will be interested in what you think of the Hoover. That is one of my least favorite vacuums. On mine, the power nozzle is too big and bulky and the handle will not stand up by itself. I also didn't care for the clunky hose handle.
I thought the hose felt very flimsy and was too short. The thing I dislike the most were the very small wheels on the caniter. It catches on everything and tends to pull sideways. It was like pulling a big suitcase around. I also didn't think it had very good suction but it is a beautiful machine and I was glad I got one for Hoover's 100th Anniversary. Mine is quiet and I do like the lights on top of the machine.
