Hi Everyone: I got this email this morning. As I wasnt interested in the machines I asked her if I could repost the conversations here incase any of you were interested in them. If any of you are interested please email her and mention you saw it in my posting. Doug -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: AlwaysSomethingElse@charter.net To: MJDKAS@hotmail.com Subject: I Have Eureka 160A Literature Date: Wed, 6 Jan 2010 21:06:49 -0800 I have 4 Eureka Whisks Model 160A Brand New in the original boxes, with attachments, original paperwork (Manual/Warranty) & original bags. I will also be acquiring some old heavy Hoovers brand new in the box down the road. A friend of mine had a Vacuum Sewing & Janitorial Company; obviously many years ago. He’s had it all in storage. He recently decided he needed to make some room. He has me selling them on Craigslist a few at a time. We’ll see how that goes. Like you said, they are old vacuums; even when the are brand new in the box, I would suppose. If you need any information from those…let me know. Also do you have an asking price I could quote for the machines? You'd be far more likely to sell them to the collectors there than on Craiglist. Doug PS - What I am really looking for is Goblin Vacuums or parts and some of the old Lewyt stuff if he has any of that in the storage. _______________________________________________________________ From: AlwaysSomethingElse (AlwaysSomethingElse@charter.net) Sent: January 7, 2010 11:18:45 AM To: 'Doug Smith' (mjdkas@hotmail.com) Hi Doug, Sure, I don’t mind you posting my name & email on your site. My intention wasn’t in trying to sell them to YOU, but just seeing if you were interested in, or needed copies of the literature/warranty/attachment list/photo of bag style. I guess I am a “collector” of literature…with everything we own that doesn’t have it; so I figure others seek it out as well. The Eureka Whisk 160A he has me listing for $20 each; I think he would take $15 each though. You would know, better than I, if that is a fair price. I have 4 of them at my house, and he has more up at his place. While the machines are brand new, the original shipping boxes leave a little to be desired; no mold, just discoloration. I don’t have the Hoovers in my possession yet, but soon; they do take up space and are heavy. I will ask him if he has any of the other brands that you are really interested in. Carrie |
