I'm curious who manufactured these. Where they a quality machine?

i too have wondered. the power head is a filter queen, and one on ebay while back the tools had metal ends like a fq.

I have one of these canister vacs-the bag system is sort of like a TriStar-the disposable bag fits inside a cloth vertical one.The one I have doesn't have the floor tools or hand tools-just a hose-was "donated" to me from a vac dealers "trade in pile"The machine works well.will have to look on it to see who built it.I happen to need bags for mine.none of the places here have them.

I don't know about the canisters, but I have two of the Elektrapure "Super 8" uprights, and they seem to work fairly well, as well as the Oreck Classic line. They have a motor identical to the Oreck and a metal brushroll (with replaceable brush strips). I've seen the same cleaner under the brand names "Avanti" and "Maid Lite." Perhaps this canister is available under those names as well.

I think they are excellent. Health-Mor made them.

Health-Mor sold them

but Philips made them in Holland. They are good vacuums that are just different enough to justify having one more canister!

Well, the one I used seemed like a very high-quality machine. I guess I made some assumptions on the basis of its association with Filter Queen, which work forever.

there is one on ebay selling for very cheap! Unfortunatly, he won't ship to Canada, so I hope someone else can nab it.
