I was cruising around town today on my bike, and saw a white handle sticking out of a garbage can. My first thought was that it was a convertible. But I opened it up and it was a Bissell Multi-Vac Dyna Clean. I think it is from around the seventies, and it very similar to a Hoover Handi Vac. Except it is bigger and has a big carry handle on the front, and the handle does not come off. And it is a reddish orange color. And also, when I opened up the garbage can, under the vacuum, was all of the attachments, besides the extension wand, which I think it should come with. It also came with some kind of caddy or something, but i do not know what it is. I will post pics a bit later. If you know anything about it though, please share.

I found this with all its tools in the Goodwill on the highway south of here.

So This is a Badge-Engineered Hoover, Right?

I've seen very few badge-engineered Hoover vacuums of the '70s-'80s sold by other vacuum cleaner manufacturers (badge-engineering mostly applied to vacuums sold to retail outlets like Sears, J.C. Penney and Montgomery Ward). The only other one I can think of is the Swingette/Portapower that was rebadged as an Oreck.

I don't believe it's a badge-engineered Hoover

I think it's strictly Bissell's take on the various handy vac products.

I didn't get any wands with mine, but they either were missing, or optional. I don't know where the paperwork is at the moment.
