Well I decided that I wanted to trade in my used Kirby Sentria (which was a bit too worn and smelly for it's young age, had no attachments, etc), and get a brand new in box Kirby Sentria, Shampooer, and Floor Care Kit. Dealer brought it all to me today, I filled out the official warranty paperwork, gave him my old Sentria and a cash difference, and away he went. Serial # begins with 209090XXXX, and the date/weight sticker on the bottom of the attachment caddy is 08/18/2009 7:26AM... Jack says it's some space age polymer composite crap made of cheese and brick dust... but we know he hates Kirbys :-) The F style bag adapter is slick!

MMMMMM.... brand new Kirby smell - immediately takes me back to 1990 when my parents bought their brand new Kirby Generation 3...

Andrew

very beautiful

Kirby sentria, i am a little jealous myself, as i have been wanting a sentria for quite some time but have not had the money nor do i feel like trading my g4 for a cash difference. i have had my g4 for 6 years and it is 16 years old and only thing i have ever replaced on it is a brush and some belts,[although the person i got it from had taken it to some construction sites and the tranny was in very bad condition, so i ended up replacing it not long after i got it] it is a very clean vacuum and has lasted and stood the test of time. Kirby's are be far my number one choice, not only because they last forever and half a year. but they also have a quite distinguished look to them, they look great perform awesome and really like to eat everything in they're path, anyway hope you get much enjoyment and long lasting use out of that good ole tank. btw i have heard that if you offer Kirby another Kirby as partial trade for a newer sentria the price goes down pretty substantially, true or false???

Welcome.....

to the brand new Sentria family! I'll be paying for my real unused one tomorrow, the real torture is waiting for it to arrive! And for those of you wondering "didn't you just buy a brand new Sentria?", turns out the dealer who sold it to me thought he could get away with selling me a demo machine, and he was wrong. After a 2 week battle I finally returned the machine he sold me, and got my money and trade in machine back. A Kirby friend helped me with getting another that's actually never used.

The dealer that my friend got it from is old school, he only sells the shampooer and zippbrush, I would have liked to have gotten a few others but I'll find them somewhere else. :)

LOLz! Jack Jack Jack... The sign has since been rebuilt with the same basepan material, so they won't need your extra manly onehanded service there anymore... don't you have tags to laminate for your celebrity event????

:-)

The tags aren't coming on too well, some guy in Nebraska keeps distracting me. And now it's 6am and I haven't slept.

Ahh, I remember when I got my NIB one two years ago. I was soo happy when I got it, and now I am bored with it. Lol

I saw that F-style bag adapter in a parts list the other day and wondered what the difference was - now I know!

Very nice - I just love NIB vacs! Congrats on the new Sentria.

Love the Sentria.

I have bought one on ebay for £400, works great but the headlight dont work and needs a new LED module which is on order still at the service centre!!!

Accessories

I picked up a few of the accessories online brand new which saved me a lot from getting them at the dealer. I've got the Sentria Handi Butler on it's way as well - got it new in box for $35!

Here is the Zip Brush and Turbo Accessory Kit (Which I'll never use but I just wanted to have it)!

very nice Andrew,
nothing wrong with getting the unneeded extras, buying a high end vac is like a car, you want all the bells and whistles even though you know you wont use them
