I've heard that Kirby is coming out with a 2010 model. Does anyone have any information on the newest model? Are they planning on any significant style changes? When are they scheduled to debut?

Thanks
Michael LaBue

Top Secret

Kirby is more secretive than the Kremlin at keeping their new models under raps until they debut them. All of us have been dying to know what is coming as the Sentria is clearly at the end of it's run. They made significant changes in 1970 and 1990 so it is possible that this could be a bigger change than we've seen in a while, but no one knows for sure.

I just wonder if they will wait for 2014 to bring out a really new and different Kirby? That will be the 100th birthday year!

Well, whenever it may be, let's just hope it has as much aluminum as the Sentria. I really do hope they offer a non-powerdrive model with a 12-inch nozzle, maybe a retro 500 series? It could be called "Centennial Sanitronic!"

I talked with a distributor and asked if he knew anything about it, all he told me is "it's top secret". :)

It was a "thread" on the VCCC vintage site. Someone mentioned that they had heard about a new Kirby & yes that it was a secret. That's why I reached-out to you all.

Please tell me that Kirby brought back the HII design with a metal fan!
