Hiya knowledgable folks! Heading to the US in November (Columbus Ohio) and was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a turbo brush for my Kirby Sentria... I currently have the Zip Brush that came with the machine - however I'm looking for one of the older (I call them a drum style brush) style ones... I'd prefer new - however if that's not an option - then I'm happy for good condition second hand... Anyone have any suggestions? Are these something I can buy direct from Kirby? And does anyone know if one from a Heritage will fit my Sentria?? Any help folks would be greatly appreciated!!!! Cheers Steve... |

The Turbo Brush has not been carried by Kirby since approx. '85. This was actually designed w/ B&D's involvement if my memory serves me correct (digging deep into the mind's archives--lots of knowledge since then--LOL). I have a feeling the rights to it ran out, as I have seen "other" brands that now look identical to it. (i.e.: central vacs, etc.) Finding one would be either used or maybe 'NOS' somewhere. And like Norm said prior, maybe check with local shops while visiting whith him. If that does not pan-out with results, I possibly have a second one I would let go reasonably. I would need to go thru some boxes to be sure I have a good/great condition one. (As they are not made. I need to keep in mind for replacement parts if need be. Let me know how things pan-out. hagn Bill |

Norm I was a little disappointed with the response I'd received from Kirby already regarding the Tour I was hoping to take... However - I'd be most happy to follow any suggestions you have to locate one. Bill - many thanks for the info - however I really wouldn't want to take one from you that you may need for parts in the future. I'd really not be comfortable putting anyone into a position like that... Perhaps Norm and his contacts will be able to track one down for me somewhere - and maybe when I'm there I may stumble across one... Norm - our flights are booked... We leave Brisbane QLD on 15 November and arrive San Fran same day - then I think we've got 4 days there before we fly into Columbus... I'm so excited that I'm irritable!! LOL When we're a little closer to the dates - I will definately be in touch - plus will be available on email during our trip as well... (just bought ourselves a new Macbook Pro for the trip!) as I'm not sure how it will all work with cell phones... But - can't wait to meet you and check out your collection!! Again - thanks heaps guys. Cheers Steve. |
