I saw an Orange Electrolux Oxygen here in a local pawn shop. They have had it for quite some time. Is $199.00 too high? To me it seems pretty high, considering it may be 5 years old? If I recall correctly the orange Oxygens came out at about the same time the Aptitude uprights came out. I know the new Ultra Oxygens at Lowe's are $499.00. I did try the Oxygen out and it does work. It just seems to me like $199.00 for a used vacuum is high. The pawn shop also has an older Lux upright, an Epic 6500 Series--for $89.95. Anyway, what is your opinions?

That's a lot of money for a glorified used Eureka. I imagine it will be for sale a long time!

It is an excellent machine.....

My friends bought the early version (6988) with the classic Eureka tools for CAD399.00 at Costco. The power nozzle is powerful and the electrified hose is one of the lightest and easiest to use on the market. If you can test it out and make sure that the cord-reel is still working and that the pn is still in good shape, I'd say "go for it." You should also make sure that it comes with all the tools, including the nice wide, horse-hair bare floor nozzle and the classic Eureka upholstery nozzle in grey.

The main unit is actually really easy to use and very agile on the floor - with a very nice large handle.
