Hi, my mom needs a new vacuum. she wants something in the 100-200 dollar price range. I am pushing the shark navigator for her, but is that the best choice? Any thoughts appreciated.....p.s. shes checked the local thrift stores already.....

My suggestion for a brand new vacuum in that price range is the Kenmore Twilight upright(used to be the Progressive), It retails for $149 and can be found on sale.
It has the most features for the price, power switch in handle, as well as hi/lo switch, turbo brush, clutch system to shut off brushroll, dirt sensor, clear window above brushroll, cloth lik ehepa bags. I have an older version of this vacuum, as well as the new one Very good durable vacuums for the money, plus they are more quiet than most other uprights on the market
