Well.... I'm 26 today so what better excuse to get a new floor care appliance. I actually bought it out of necessity, but I'm still going to enjoy it. My silly boyfriend tried to hook my all in one washer drier unit up with longer hoses so I could keep use it in the closet and just move the hoses instead of having to move the 200 lb mass around every time I want to do laundry. Well, he used a soft vinyl hose (I thought he knew what he was doing!) and when I tried to run the machine the thing burst and water went EVERYWHERE. So, after working all day and beginning a birthday I had a MESS to clean up. I got my little baby Hoover Duo out which I've never really liked. It worked to get most of the water up, but the tank was small and I was sooooooooo mad I was slamming it around (between all the cursing) and broke the plastic. So, I had to go to the only place that was open (and across the street!), Wal-mart! Got a Hoover Spin Scrub steam vac for just 139.99. Old school style which I think works better than the V2 ones. These are the kind that I sold at Sears back when I was 19 so I'm quite familiar with them. Anyway, I'm happy... I usually don't buy floor care products that aren't used but this will be fun. It will be nice to have a real machine and not just a toy, tough I'm sure the quality isn't the same since the TTI takeover, its still the same design (kind of like old school WindTunnels that they still make based on the older design)....

Anyone have one of these?

Happy Birthday Bobby!

I have the same model Steam Vac as you, bought mine on December 11, 2006 on my way home from picking up my new car at the Ford dealer, it is the best Christmas present I bought myself. I love it, and it gets used heavily. I also bought my aunt one for Christmas this year, only took 2 months to get it as they were never in stock. They are still of equal quailty to the older versions of the steam vac.
And, yes it performs better than the Dual V, bought one and returned as this I found worked better.

Hope you enjoy the Steam Vac.

Sam

Thanks. I LOVE the new steam vac. I didn't know what I was missing with that little toy DUO. This thing really cleans and it gets the floor very dry. I did my whole apartment today including the love seat (I prefer the clear attached hose on the higher end models). It was easy and fast and the power suction REALLY got the floor dry... it was barely damp when I was through. The water was brownish gray when I was finished, but the carpet LOOKED clean before I started!
