Hoover Porta Power

Tyler,

Nice collection there. I especially love the Hoover Porta Power labeled as an Office Machine Cleaner! I like the colors, very different. Does it have a cloth bag or does it take paper N bags?

Marty

I love those two Hoovers, the Office Machine Cleaner and the Handivac I. For that matter, all the rest of them too!

The Hoover "Office machine" cleaner is interesting-like a commercial Portapower we have at work.Does the Portapower used for an office cleaner have a HEPA type filter?Printer and copier toner is conductive and will cause havoc if it gets into the vacuums motor.so A HEPA filter ahead of the motor is needed to filter the toner out.

Electrolux Model L

I have the same Model L with the PN 4. It's my favorite vacuum. Although it may not be as powerful as the later Electroluxs it is very easy to transport. I have taken it many places with me to clean friends and relatives homes. I have the vinyl hose with the pigtails at both ends. It is better than the original hose and does not leak.

I really like the PN 4 as well. I am able to clean right up against baseboards and along walls because the nozzle has holes in the front and sides. The Power Nozzle also moves easily and it seems to groom the carpet well too.

If I had to choose one vacuum cleaner it would be the L. It may not be as powerful as say a Kirby, but it makes vacuuming so easy.

About three weeks ago I ordered a new hose from totalvac along with a stealth cord. They sent me a Tristar hose instead and the wrong stealth cord (they sent me a cord for the PN 2). This is the second time that TotalVac has gotten my order wrong.

I just used my old hose and took the pigtails off my new hose since that is what I needed anyway. I am just wondering if anyone else has had problems with TotalVac.

Another thing I might mention is that I had been using some cheap bags from the dollar store and they really leak dust.

I removed the bag cage and the rear of the unit and blew out the inside of the motor and fan housing with an air compressor.

You have a nice collection. Enjoyed reading your post.

Kenny
