I've gone and got myself another Dyson!

I wasn't intending on getting this DC07, but the online store I get discount from had low stocks and now they are sold out.

I used it briefly, swapping the cyclone/bin for an old model so I didn't scratch the bin. It picks up well, but suffers from the age old Dyson problem of extreme noise. I preferred it to the DC27, but I like my DC15 much better.

The more times I open a brand new vac, the less exciting it is!

Mini Turbine head next to the current model supplied with Animal Dysons. The old head is ridiculously large. What were the Dyson engineers thinking?

The box shows the original mini turbine head that looks identical to the one Miele uses.

You can use the larger turbo head to efficiently and effectively vacuum small area rugs.

Agreed..

Congrats on your purchase :)

Dyson Australia had the larger one as the "Mini Turbine Head" and another smaller one (very similar to yours, few changes) as the "Car Turbine Head".

I would not even think about using the smaller one to do stairs but think the larger one would do good :)

I use the smaller turbine head on the stairs and it does a very good job.

Dyson in the UK don't offer the larger head with their newer models.

My favourite small turbo head is the Miele Turbo Mini.

You guys are torturing me! :) I want a dyson so badly. I want to see how much it can pull out of my living room carpet.
