In 1955 my grandparents had got their 2nd vacuum which was a Elux Model E then it was retired for A Kirby 1CR then a Panasonic Jet-Flo then one day i was cleaning out the tool shed and they gave me the Elux and the 1CR well about 2 days ago the Elux made a god awful noise and i had just had the bearings replaced and i opened it up and the bearings had came apart so my prized possession is no more so i am going to find a stronger motor and build me a franken-lux

Why not just replace the bearing again? Its not too hard.

Or replace it with another

Lux Model 'E' motor? They are great motors, easy enough to find, great machines, and of course an 'original machine' is always nice, esp with it being tied to your grandparents. Just my thoughts.
