I have always wanted a boss and found one this weekend. Sometimes you just have to have what you want. This is pre clean up I have been very busy with work.

Hi Filterqueen...

I have one of those, I was so surprized at how well the thing actually works. Such a simple vacuum, but really good at what it does. I find mine really efficient at pet hair.

Enjoy

Guy

I have a direct air BOSS, but I've also wanted one of those for a long time. They still sell them new in Canada. You might find them in some online vacuum stores too.

Love it, love it, love it!

And to think it sold for only USD120.00 back in the early 1990's - which included a basic set of attachments too!

You'll see how full that F&G bag will get! When you change it in a few months, the bag will probably weigh a good five pounds! Remember to set the Dial-A-Nap a little higher than usual on an empty bag - the 7 amp motor is really powerful and will cause the brushroll to stop as it locks onto the carpet.

You are gonna love this machine and never need to use any other upright!

That brushroll looks like a replacement? I thought all Bosses came with the VG2,unless they chaged in the late 90's????

That does look like the wrong brushroll.....

The one that we bought for a friend at Sears in the early 1990's had the VibraGroomer II.

And, oops, made a mistake - looks like this model has a 5 amp motor, not 7 amps.

I think it will work even better with just brushes - no real need for the beater bars.

I recall reading a product description somewhere which indicated that it not comes with a wooden brushroll.

Some of them did have the wooden brushrolls, but the one in your machine does look like a replacement. The orginal would have been gold with black brushes and red beater bars..(orangish red)

I have repaired several and given them away to college students, people moving into an apartment for the first time. Great vacuums.

Around our area K-Mart was a big seller of the Eureka Boss, they carried the line with the wooden brushroll.
