I really went all out this Christmas and used my Christmas money from my family to get something I have been wanting. I thought this was an extremely pretty vacuum and decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and get one. It's the Miele Red Velvet with the SEB-236 powernozzle. What a dream this machine is to use. It purrs so quiet you barely even know it's running and with it's 1200 watt Vortex motor it really has some power. The SEB-236 powernozzle , well let me tell you... one word for it.. AWESOME. I have always liked this p/n with it's flourescent headlamp and very tight, well built feel.. I mean this vacuum is most definately your BMW of vacuum cleaners. What a joy to use!! Here are some pictures.

Beauty, Poise, and Grace

What a lovely vacuum cleaner. I LOVE MIELE's. They are so graceful and elegant, as only a German vacuum cleaner can be.
The fit and finish of the Miele machines are second to none.
I feel that the German craftsmen who made your Miele put a lot of effort into making the very best cleaner that they could build. The quality is exceptional.

As all Miele machines are quiet, I imagine yours is whisper-silent on the lower speeds.

Congratulations on your new Miele. What a wonderful present to yourself.

C.D.

Very nice! Enjoy! I did not realize they were now offering a power nozzle with a light. I like that! I also like the controls on the hose handle, and best of all the color! :-)

I have been very happy with my Miele cleaner, it is a joy to use.

BIG Congratulations...my heart sunk when I visited you and you were without a Miele :-( However it all turned out for the best as I think that the Red Velvet is even more beautiful than the Capricorn!! As far as all around performance (deep cleaning, quietness, versatility, convenience, filtration) goes, I honestly believe that there is no better vacuum on the market than a Miele. I am so happy for you!! Also, let me know if you want that Kirby D80 stuff.

Red velvet

I was suppose to get a Red Velvet but when the Aquarius came out I change my mind as I love the way the Body was made and it did show a hose handke with all of the controls on it like the Red velvet but come to find out it was made for the capricorn but I'm still satisfied with my Aquarius as mieles are awsome for sure and I love my miele art as well

and a Merry Christmas it is!!!!

Derrick! That vacuum is beautiful!! So luxurious!!!!(sp?) How does it maneuver behind you? I know it's powerful! I'm amazed at the Miele's power. I have an old red Flamenco II and it works wonderful!! Nothing like having yourself a Merry Little Christmas!! Enjoy that vacuum!

Hey Skip!

I LOVE my Mieles as well! I have the Blue Moon and also the Art. Isn't the Art an interesting design? Kind of reminds me of a modern Converto Vac. It is great for quick pick ups and since my home is mainly hardwood floors, it is perfect to sweep up when you're in a hurry. Andy Weter tells me that the Art has been discontinued due to poor sales though.

Hey Robb Yes The art is kinda like the converto vac and like You say It does a fanastiuc job on barefloors and believe it or not also on low pile carpets as well. Robb no wonder there are alot on ebay and going on bin's for a very decent price too. Now I just got a New electrolux intensity and it reminds me of the art except it has no onboard attachments with it

LOVE the Converto Vac!

That is a beauty you have Skip. I have been after one for some time because as you know, I am more attracted to the obscure for my collection rather than a particular brand. One day, I will find one. The thrill of the hunt continues.

Robb

The funny thing is my convertovac was one that I thought You had won off of ebay back in 2002 but turns out it was Kyle who won it. It took me a good year to work on kyle to get it but I will say it was well worth it. It is great as an upright but it sure has very poor suction as a canister. Robb believe it or not I have gotten all of my dreams vacs that I have ever wanted and I have one left that I want and I'm working on that now.
