I was wondering if anyone else has one of these. I got a UV-ST from Costco.com, and after vacuuming up popcorn, it stopped working and made this horrible sound. Halo sent me a new one though. What you think of it? I know they were bought by Oreck. (and Oreck bought Perfect too, sad)

Oreck bought Perfect too???

So what will become of their metal Lux knockoffs? I understand it was a pretty well made machine. I wanted to get my hands on one, but at around $700.00, not economically viable at this time. Can we expect to see Lux knockoffs with the Oreck name on it?

Perfect

I have a Perfect P101 upright. It is the greatest! The bag is huge! It really cleans the carpet. The company that makes Perfect sells parts to Electrolux to make Sanitaires. Once Electrolux copied the Perfect so much, Perfect sued them. I have the PDF file somewhere, I'll have to copy the text to show you. Heres a link to my "Oreck"

Hmm...

I work for Oreck and hadn't heard they bought Perfect. I know that our new commercial line vacs are made by Perfect and badged for us, better looking than the original, unless baby blue is your color!

Halo-Oreck

I forgot to mention that Oreck did buy the Halo technology from the original owners and are now available in the Oreck stores with our name on it. I don't like them at all, even hate doing the demo. Really haven't had that many people even interested. Only one of the seven Oreck stores here has even sold any, and two of them came back. It's my personal opinion that this is going to bite Oreck in the ass eventually, especially with the price.

Halo and Perfect

The Halo vacuum I have is horrid at cleaning. and Perfect is not a Eureka, it is the other way around. Perfect sells parts to Electrolux so they can make their commercial cleaners. I saw a 16" Perfect upright yesterday at a mall.
