So I was vacuuming with my dimension 1000 and when I got to the living room I turned it off to adjust the wands, and when I go to turn it back on nothing happens, so by now im really mad so I flip the switch on the handel a couple times and nothing, so I turn on/off the canister and flip the switch again, and after a couple of tries it comes to life. BUT it clicked on/off a couple times. so I just put it away and gave it a rest. I got rid of my other dimension 1000 because it was doing the same thing but only when you moved the hose, I really love these things and this one is black which is my dream one. what do you guys think the problem is?

Could be the switch, hose or thermal protection system. Or maybe the wiring that goes from hose/motor

It's probleby the thermal protection thing, I just tested it a few min ago and it ran fine.

the same thing happened to my first Dimension 1000 but it will not turn on at all. Let it sit all you want. It's dead for sure. I think it may need rewired or something though because i checked the switch and its fine.

try running wire directly from switch to motor...bypass anything inline [circuit bkr-thrm swtch..ect] hit switch...if it runs then you know it the wiring...if it doesnt then run it from wall outlet directly to motor..if it runs then mtr good...process of elimination...try all thats between outlet and motor.if worse comes to worse new cord-switch-rewire switch to mtr.
