They sure do have their pros and cons. I have a few. They definatley out clean an Elite in my opinion. But yes they are loud. What color is yours?

More Cons than Pros...

We had one for a while at work. Ours was a 9 amp, so it wasn't nearly as loud as the later 12 amp models, but it was still a screamer.

The motor ran VERY hot, the belts burned like nobody's business, and we had a lot of problems with the brushroll bearings. They were constantly getting loud and getting dust in them causing them to drag. About once every 2-3 months we'd have to pull them out and clean it all up.

The bag setup was kind of lame too. It had these 2 plastic clips and 2 plastic "rods" that were supposed to align the bag and keep it in place. The 2 clips broke on the one we had and they were FLIMSY!

I never did like that vacuum. Between the noise, the hot motor smell, and the nasty smell of burnt rubber, nobody else did either! We finally junked it and stupidly replaced it with a bagless Eureka. That's now been replaced with a Eureka 1934a that's been running strong ever since.

I have the hard cover version of that machine (7671). Mine has the blue bristles. Mine seems to deep clean too, but it sure is loud!
