Think motor needs something
had a squeal but it went away.

Thinking of parting it out as it is rare but ugly.

Daves seems to pull 91 amazing that's great
wish I had a vac meter.

Still cord return works, has orig green dust brush I'll trade for dark brown filter queen brush.

think I'll keep switch if it fits my fq.

its got big green wheels...
hose is good... I can use a filter queen or lux g rubber hose that doesn't leak
I'll keep her sears wands & access still

what are we going to do w ugly betty?

I'd attempt to open her to the motor but bags are hard to find.

ideas?

email me w requests/offers

I certainly would not part it out. I think the mechanical condition is really not all that bad, and it should be kept together as a set. I would imagine someone on here will make an offer. If I had the money, I'd buy it myself, although its not my kind of thing. I'm sure someone would really enjoy it though.

Christine, do you have any of the other green Sunbeam tools or just that lovely green dusting brush decorating the wand?

I have quite a few brown Filter Queen soft animal bristle dusting brushes in great condition I'd happily trade you. I posted this after I sent you that email, btw. :-)

Dave

Not really keen on shipping whole vacs but.

But if someone really wants her we'll see if we can make them happy.

I still am amazed it has 91 pull thats up there with the best filter queens well when it's running up to par.
It does have an lamb ametek motor in like a filter queen & interstate.

Sunbeam made a great coffee pot so as it would seem I'm sure they did their best w the vacs.

I love the Challenger because.....

it is one of the few canister vacs ever produced to have a storage facility for both wands. I think the only other one I recall offering this might be the Kenmore bullet vac on that "handtruck" caddy....

Wish I had the bucks and the storage space for this little green machine. :)

I really love all the Sunbeam canisters....they kind of remind me of Eurekas for some reason.

I do love pulling it around but it's come to its last mission here. Really should be used with proper bags which are hard to get.

Had it open yesterday & cleaned it out.
Really does have tremendous suction but don't like the exhaust as it has to come thru cordwinder & it loses alot before it gets out & I like to use the lux like a blower & I get tremendous air that comes out.

The green machine & hose is least 20 lbs & I really don;t want to spend the time to packaage it & drag it to the PO unless someone really wanted it...Shipping this thing is easy $25 to $40 depending on zip code

Tools/ wands are not original & they will go back to my olympia

I'll probably part it out or it will end up at good will.

The green brush is gone.
cordwinder/cord & switch part are good but wheels are attached to that pasrt so guess it would go together
also hose is good

I still suggest that you keep it together. It not a machine that is ideal for parting out anyway. Most of the parts for this machine are not in high demand, because very few other people own these. Secondly, items like the switch and motor are not unique, and can be bought from most vac stores or grabbed from a more common machine.

Still w shipping that's oer $2 a bag...that's not so bad 4 the collector just to run it but if your really using it it's costly as lux bagas are 50cents...

Still I'm sure someoen will luck out
