I have the Electro-Hygiene version, with the tool caddy on top, and a chrome cord winder. It works flawlessly, that power nozzle is awesome, and I believe the brushroll is the same full size brushroll that's used in the Royal uprights. It's also a pretty quiet machine, I love the sound of the power nozzle!

I am not sure of the year, I was told late 60's early 70's. And yes the brushroll is the same as the upright. It is a very good vacuum, but as you can see it is very junked up. lol

Junked Up

That Royal still looks fairly nice to me. Its not even close to the mess that my yellow Electro Hygiene Model 666 is. I think that PN is rather rare too. Most of those cleaners had just the metal floor tool and no PN provisions. The PN was not common until the Power Tanks with the onboard attachments, and those PNs were very different.

yes they power nozzle is rare. It has the same brushroll as the uprights. I am actually getting another, and someone told me that I would probably be the only one with a pair of them. :)

the pony and the 231 swivel top royals originally used the "rugmaster" power nozzel like the airway. your vac dates from the early 70's. later tanks used a filter queen power nozzel, then later panasonics.

it is a really neat nozzel. joe in texas
