I was perusing EBay.....looking for stuff for other people - not me. And I came across an auction for an Electrolux model XXX. I was trying to see what all was included and the condition of the machine. This caught my attention. A bag of XXX filters. The package looks to be around the mid-eighties (?). Which means they were still offering supplies for these machines almost fifty years after being introduced!

Demothers

Open 'em up, stick in some moth crystals...tuck the 'lux in a closet, turn it on for an hour or so. Afterwards, all the moths have been gassed and your clothing reeks of camphor.

Rick, is the wooden box something that would have come from Electrolux?

Wonder if they'll be making supplies for Aerus machines 50 years later?

Nice box too.

Thanks Rick, (the Pirate),LOL I had the same idea, it just looked like it was designed for the lux. Where did you get it?

Terry, I nabbed this picture from an EBay auction. I think they want like $87,000,000.04 as a "Buy it Now". I don't know if these chests were offered through Lux or not, someone who is smarter than I am might know. I think there have been threads on this subject before.

my brother sold electrolux vacuum cleaners in the late 80's early 90's if. i remember correctly, he told me that they still were servicing and making parts for XXX and newer machines when he worked for them. im sure that they have quit by now... does anyone know this to be true?
