I already had this 638, which had just been sitting in the attic for a few years. Pattern bag, cord, no handgrip, bad motor bearings...

So I combined the two: the chassis, hood and handle of the old one with the bag, cord and motor of the new one! A reference-photo of the wiring while I was disconnecting the footswitch...

But...I went ahead and very cautiously washed it in cool water...
