I saw this commercial on YouTube the other day, and remember it when it was on television years ago. I didn't know it was on that many years ago. I don't know about anyone else, I'd still rather have the "old" vacuum. Does anyone know the model?

Here's a still-shot of it, which might help. Keep in mind, whatever it was to begin with, it may have been altered cosmetically to disguise it.

It's a Eureka Express!!

OK, HAD to add that! Looks Universal-esque to me.

I just love watching the poor woman in spike heels scrabbling across her livingroom with one wand and a coiled hose. Excellent one legged vacuum flipping technique, tho.:-)

It blows its bag real good.

Of course they are running the vacuum backwards - check the runners - on exhaust so that when the dustbag cap is yanked off by a wire a cloud is produced. It's possible the vacuum isn't turned on.

But what a great commercial!

Thanks for all your input guys, and thank you Jack and Dave for adding still photos to the discussion. It probably was "doctored" so that it is hard to identify the make. It would seem as if the big "poof" of dust comes from offscreen. Still, a great commercial from a time when vacuums were produced with some level of quality. I'd still rather have the Universal though ;-)
