So I finally found and E series I paid 60 bucks for it and I love it. I have wanted one for a while and have been using the tri star picture next to it for a while. The power nozzle must be a bit more agressive than the VG2 brush roll I have on my tri star cause I just cleaned one room and the water was absolutley filthy. I am kinda puzzled as which one is the best cleaner right now. What do you think? I do need a floor brush and the attachment caddy to complete it, but to me this is just perfect for now I finally have my rainbow.

Excellent find Matt, and what a steal, someday Ill get mine but around here they are few and far between. You will enjoy it. My x BF has a SE and I loved and hated it lol. I got tired of emtying everyday so I bought a Windtunnel to use daily and Id use the Rainbow one or twice a week,he had a white Syberian and the hair was everywhere lol. I like the Singer to the left I had the Kenmore version.Enjoy your rainbow...
Kenny

Rainbow E series

I was surprised at how much bigger the Rainbow looks sitting next to the Tristar. Wish they would add a light to the power nozzle. Looks like you got a good buy. The Rainbow will not lose suction either and I like the fact you are never storing the dirt and filth in the closet.

hhmmm

I too was thinking tonight at work that I wish the rainbow had a light. I dont think emptying it will be a pain I rather like knowing I am literally disposing of the dirt immediatley. The singer was a gift from a random friend from ebay.

I didn't know there was a Kenmore version of that Singer... I knew about the Bissell version, but neverh have seen a Kenmore... anyway

MATT!!! You STOLE that machine for that price! Older Rainbows than that regularly go for 300 dollars at LEAST on CL here in Orlando. How funny I was just texting you I wanted one of those the other day... I got a DD Broom Vac shortly after you did that I really wanted, then the Electrolux upright (that was for a friend who was starting a housekeeping business though, not for me) shortly after you got yours, and now I have to catch up with ya on this Tri-star and Rainbow stuff.... you better slow down and give me a chance LOL

Enjoy your new toy! You should feel guilty and go back and give the seller more money! ;-P

Several yrs back I bought a chrome dome Rainbow (w/o PN) & even with a strait suction rug nozzle it outcleaned every vac I had at that time (even the Tristar w/VGII) Had 2 empty the basin after EACH room cleaned with the Rainbow. Then went over again with the Rainbow but used a Lux PN; still pulled out more dirt. Then again with my Tristar PN w/VGII, water turned black after doing a section of bedroom. I can't wait 2 get that Rainbow bac in service; the fans & motor clogged with dirt after the last use.

The only thing I don't like about my Rainbow E 2 speed is the PN. Otherwise, I love it. But I dread getting it out, because if I do, I can't stop! I feel like since I have the thing out I might as well clean really good and end up exhausted from cleaning EVERYTHING.
