Just wanted to let everyone know I was at my local vac shop this afternoon. He's been in business since 1960, and has alot of old parts in his arsenal that he may be looking to downsize soon. He knows I collect vintage vacuums and recently did an excellent job replacing the brush strips, motor brushes, and lubricating the motor on my Hoover Model 61. I've asked him to hold aside any old trade-ins I might be interested in. Today, he showed me motors from a Hoover model 28, models 12 & 14 (Lark). I passed on those, but anyone who has an interest should contact him. I hate to see them get discarded of. You can contact Bert at Modern Appliance (516) 887-1160.
