I just love the vacuum cleaner Christmas advertising! Air-way, Electrolux, Lewyt and Hoover had the best ones. Can you imagine how insulted the average woman today would be if Santa brought her ... "a VACUUM CLEANER???!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hehehe yes you are right Charles....

Wow I have not forgotten this but when I first started teaching in 1990, a particular 1st grade teacher to me how upset she was when her husband had bought her a brand new Kirby for Christmas several years earlier. The box was wrapped up under the tree. She said she could have given her husband a good plow right in the kisser that day. She also told me that she hated that vacuum for that reason.

You are so right Charles, in todays times it would be considered a great insult for sure...but not to us vacuum collectors of course..hehe

I got my mom one!

Well, my dad and myself got my mom the new Air-Way Sanitizor 2 Christmas's ago. It is the HandiWay designed black Air-Way. She loved it so much! I got to teach her the proper use of it, because she has always used an upright. So, she was very pleased, and still is, with its wonderful suction.
