Wow, you struck it rich in finding this model S3077 Celebrity II Guardsman, Toby! Yes - this species of Celebrity vacs is indeed rare. This variant was probably sold for only three or four years (1976 to 1979). Perhaps, both Tom Anderson and Jeff Parker may be able to help me out on these dates. ~Ben (KirbyClassicIII) |

Way to go Toby!! You sure don't see many of these!! Looks to be in near mint condition as well. Shouldn't be hard to find a floor brush attachment. Great vacuum. Terry |

That looks like the vac on ebay I was watching/thinking about putting a bid on. Ill have to look and see if it was from GA, Cause the same thing was on that discription about the PN socket being worn, tho this was slightly a prob with these if the people who owned them prefered to store the vac with the hose off. Anyway awsume find. Ill do some traveling to the "good" yardsales this year cause I am on the hunt for a 3speed Celeb. My money just dont seem to jive withe the E-bay end dates lol. Happy vacuuming with this Im sure you know it very powerfullll:) Ken |

my parents had this exact vacuum it was the first one I ever used. I used to take it apart all the time and tinker with it. We eventually tossed it for the dimension 1000. |
