Did the earliest Tristar (Eureka) power nozzles come with an adapter to convert the Tristar proprietary wand so that it will connect to the Eureka made power nozzle? The buttons on the wands are not in exactly the same position, so the Eureka and Tristar wands and power nozzles are not interchangeable. But it looks like the earliest Tristar power nozzles still had the proprietary Eureka elbow, thus making it necessary to have an adapter that would accept the Tristar wands. I was looking at Fred's photos for his C9 and it appears to have an adapter for the early Eureka made power nozzle. If so, does anyone have one they'd be willing to let go of for a price? Thanks!

Bill

P. S. Hope my rambling isn't too confusing!

Compact Adapter

Actually I should have said "Compact Adapter."

Well . . .

En lieu of finding the "Real McCoy," I've developed my own adapter. The cardboard from a toilet paper roll works really well in creating a tight friction fit at the hose end! LOL!

That is a special adaptor for the Eureka Power Nozzle. It works for other brands as well.

I thought so!

I thought there had to be an adapter! Now, I'll be on the lookout for one for sure! Thanks!

Thanks for the info!

I just did a search in their on-line catalog and it didn't turn up anything. I think I'll call them tomorrow. The item number will help a lot!
