I am seeking a model 12 (either early or late issue) which is complete and in usable condition as well as cosmetically acceptable.

I will be using this as my everyday machine.

Willing to pay fair market value and postage.

Thank you,
Mike A.

I hate to ask a dumb question...

... but why would you want a Model XII for your "daily driver?"

Yes, it's a fun old machine, very lovely in a somewhat primitive way -- a relic of the pre-Machine-Age era. I do enjoy running mine around the house every now and again ---- but it's a pretty wimpy performer by any standard, especially the Electroluxes that came after it. The next model, the first Model 30, has probably twice as much suction.

Furthermore, given its age, any Model XII you find would be a rarity these days. Given its relative scarcity, would you really want to use such a rare machine on a day to day basis and risk ruining it?

All in all, I really can't imagine why anyone would want one for their everyday machine.

Ohhh, now I understand...

... I just looked at your profile and noted that the Model XII was one of the cleaners you grew up with. Now it makes sense. I do fully understand the joy of using machines from our childhood.

Even still, I would not use an XII on an everyday basis, but save it for occasional forays into the land of Nostalgia.
