It's not too big because I already have most of the ones I want, and actually I would prefer to complete the ones that I have that are not yet complete before adding more machines, but some I would like to eventually add include the following: AirWay model 66 Silver King (green one from the early 60's) Silver Knight Hoover models 825, 150, 63, and Aerodyne 51 A few more Westinghouse models Electro-Hygiene 950 (I think) tank, 285 upright, and a couple other unknown models Galaxie Prestige 990 That's about all I can think of right now. I have always wanted a Lux Hospital White and Brown Model G, with the matching hose, PN, attachments, and shampooer. AAhhh, maybe someday! That would be my dream machine. Would also like to have one of the older 2 speed Filter Queens, with the cord winder (in pristine condition, of course!) that was wisper quiet. Anyone have one they want to sell? lol |

My mother was the administrator or a large nursing home facility when i was a kid,(late 1960s, early 70s),they had several Hospital Model Gs that were used there. Back in those days, it was an important rule to NEVER make noise in a place like that, or considered rude to make any loud noise (old people were resting!),,so, everything was kept quiet,,,especially visiting kids! I guess that was the reason for all the Hospital Model Gs,,they were extra quiet. I remember going with her at night once, and finding the closet where the vacs were kept.(of course i went snooping) I checked out every closet i could, and finally found this large unlocked closet down one hallway, and there were at least 6 to 8 White and Brown Hospital Model Gs all lined up against the wall in a row in there,, standing on end, with their hoses put up over a hook. Some had PNs, and the PN cord on the hoses, some did not. I do remember that they had several of the white floor brushes, and dusting brushes in a box in there, along with the wands and all. There was also a large box of Lux bags and the exhaust end filters on a shelf, along with a few extra hoses, coiled up. Seems like they also had a few extra wide regular floor brushes,,,like for commercial use. There were also at least 4 Electrolux Polisher/Scrubbers, lined up in a row on the other wall, and all of their brushes, ect, in another large box on the shelf. Plus several gallons of Lux floor cleaner, shampoo, ect. on that same shelf. Some Electrolux salesman hit the jackpot when they sold all of those machines and stuff to that nursing home,,,they must have all been bought at the same time, because they were all the exact same color, model and age. I remember going back to the nursing home a few months later, with my mother again, and headed strait for that closet, just to check out the machines. Of course it was locked tight,,and was every other time i ever went back. DARN IT, would be fun to have had a picture of them! |

Now that would be a sight to faint over, or at least drool over. I think I'd have to move into that closet permanently. I'd love to have a Hospital G (they seem to be extremely rare). |

I remember visting Great Gandma, with my grandmother and wanting to use her E-lux mode L? Ithink and she would never let me, said it was too noisy but I could use the Bissell sweeper. When Great grandpa passes and G.gran went to assisted living we got the lux and man was it quiet lol I cant imagine how quiet it would be if it had the filter/muffeler on it.
