All day yesterday I could not get this machine off my mind! I'm not supposed to like 1400 Eurekas! Must be something about those F&G bags... |

4 AMPS Manufactured: 1985 Sleeve-bearing Vibra-Groomer II with new sweeping brushes installed. Agitator lubricated. (notice coating of dust on disturbulator from my testing it out afterward) |

Glamour Pose. Wonder how long it will take for me to tire of it. All that white! Show of hands: Would YOU have brought this home, or let it languish at "Thrift Town"? Thanks for watching! |

I would, because of the base. that white and wine red is sweet. Bag-- iffy (too much white). But ok. Maybe a red one (dark) will make it look better. |

Of course you needed to save it. Especially since it appears to be in near mint condition!! |

1425 number sounds very much like regular line Eureka, but the burgandy color hood with the white org. bag. Makes me want to say it was a K-Mart model in the 80's. Except that K mart models only had 3 digits with a letter. Like 625 ! Is there a letter after the 1425?? Norm |

I do like the color of the hood. It needs a bag the same color. I probably would have bought it. |

The font used for "Eureka" on the main unit is the newer graphic which started after the arrival of the Ultra Upright in the 1980's. The curvy classic "E" on the red background on the bag is from before 1983. So someone needed a replacement outer bag for this machine, and some repair shop had the older ones in stock. I would put money down that the original 1980's appropriate outer bag for this model had stripes or some sort of plaid design. Blender motor or not...still a great performer for the money. |

Although, the newer Eureka logo was first used in print material and TV advertisements starting in 1978.

I own a Eureka Upright 1425E which my parents bought for me in Florida in December of 1982. The box it came in (I kept that for many years after opening it), had the new Eureka lettering minus the curvy "E", along with the comic book characters you see in the commercial in 1978. The slogan on the box said "Gets the Dirt You Can't See". The unit itself, though, has the classic curvy "E" combined with "Eureka" in white on black - the old Eureka Williams graphic. This is on the hood as well as on the bag (like Swingette's wine coloured unit above). The bag has the white plastic throat inside at the bottom, and the handle is plastic. It looks like Eureka was mixing things up as they transitioned over to the new "E"-less graphic. But as I said, the classic corporate signature was still there on a machine sold at the end of 1982, even though the box had the Eureka branding typeface. |

Wow I want that C2065! My grandpa is giving me one but it is white and orange. Is there a light/lens? His does not have one. Just a hole. |
