Has anybody seen that Electrolux diamond jubilee on ebay? Although that machine is new there are a few things that tell you that it isn't new.
1. No new Electroluxs came with 2 hoses.
2. It has the wrong hose. They are Super J hoses. The Diamond had a pigtail that was 8 or 9 inches long. In the ad they are direct connect. The Diamonds had the exact same hose as the 1205. This was a problem because the cord would snake itself around and it would choke itself and would then come unplugged.
3. Notice that the Flip over rug and floor tool are in a sani away box and there is a sprayer for a sani way. Not an Electrolux Sprayer but a but a Sani Away sprayer.

Because of the 2 newer hoses she obviously used it for a year then had trouble with the Diamond hose and then the salesmen brought the Super J hose because thats what he had in his car.

Sorry Evan but I have to disagree with you on this one I bought a Diamnod Jubilee brand new in 1985. It did not come with the hose that had the pigtail plug, it was a direct connect. Much like the 1205 hose but instead of blue it was a light tan color with brown striping.

So is this going to be a record high price on Ebay for a vacuum?

Direct Connect hose

Electrolux went to the "direct connect" or non pigtail hose with the second gen 1205. All machines after that are direct connect. Also, those hoses are exactly what that machine came with when the machine when new. Have to say I see nothing wrong with anything in that auction. That is the real deal........the vacuum even still has the color on the Electrolux lettering on the bumpers....famous for wearing off quickly...Lets see how high this one goes!

Extra hose, extra wands, could be a good salesman sold the buyer on those for use elsewhere in the house. Sort of a keep an extra set downstairs or upstairs or garage so you don't have to cart the hose and power nozzle everywhere, just the vac.

Petek

I know that my 1205 came with 2 hoses, both original to the machine. One was electrified (direct-connect) and was pretty well shot when I got it. The other is a matching suction-only hose that appears to have never been used. Even the chrome on the end of the hose is completely free of scratches and the inside was free of dirt when I got it. I use it with the vintage electroluxes now since it looks better than the replacement vinyl hose I have for them.
