Seems like there has been a take-over of stick vacs down here of late. Here is the one I brought home last Friday, Just finished detailing it today. Didn't look like this when I got it but I knew that it was still in pretty good shape. Funny I looked at this in the driveway when I went into the sale and just walked by, on the way out I stopped and looked again and the lady said "are you sure you don't want to take that home"?? Well having little to no willpower I thought what the heck for $2.00 I will get it out of her way.

So Presenting the Royal Dirt Devil stick vac with the Pie shaped nozzle...

Those work surprisingly well Terry, if not a little noisy but then most of those type of things are. I had one back in Calgary and when we were moving I gave it to out neighbor across the way when we were packing.

Nice find Terry,

A friend of the family has one of those from when they first came out, it was a gift from her nephew who works for Royal. I have used it many times and it is perfect for getting the areas especially the corners along the base of your kitchen cabnitery.

Thanks Pete and Sam, it is noisy but doesn't do a bad job for what it is. Its best feature is its 30 foot long cord.

A friend of mine had one of those when I was a kid. They actually work decently well! I used to laugh at the pie shaped head, but you know....it actually does a great job in corners!

I feel that way about modern Dirt Devils, Camelotshadow..... but while the ones from the 90s weren't stellar quailty, I enjoy the older red ones. I adore my "Broom Vac"... it's the only Dirt Devil I have and I often reach for it as a daily driver. It's very cute, and cleans pretty well. Found a blue one on CL for 10 bucks just yesterday, but I didn't dare... twas hard to resist though! I've always liked these triangular shaped stick vacs too, what a uniuqe design. I've heard they are terribly loud though.

Great find, Terry. It will look good alongside your Broom Vac! I didn't realize the cord was that long. For two bucks, you certainly can't go wrong!

WOW! We had one of these for our camper when I was a kid. I remember begging my mom to let me take it home but she would say it was the camper's vacuum. I loved that thing so much. When we sold our camer I finally got to take it home. And that was when I really did not collect I just liked vacuums. And I did the dumbest thing with it. I gave it to Goodwill.
