Purchased this little treasure on E-Bay for $9.00

She even came with a full bag and a spare.

Not a bad machine. Has a port on the back side for attatchments, headlight, and no switch. Just tip back the handle and away she goes. Suction or air flow may be a tad better than a Regina.

Cute indeed. And looks like good condition. Looks like a better nozzle than Hoover Quik-Broom too!

That is nifty!

Any idea as to how old it is?

Morgan's Stick Broom Dates Back to the mid '70s.

We sold Sunbeam Vista products in my dad's hardware store in the mid 1970s.
Sunbeam Vista offered a complete line of assorted vacuum models including 2 twin fan Kenmore style uprights, one with a headlight and one without, a Challenger type tank, the typical hatbox round canister and the stick vac that Morgan bought.
I remember secretly playing with all the machines after hours when the store was closed ... great fun.
I almost took one of the Sunbeam uprights home as a Mother's Day gift for my mom but bought her a Regina Electric Broom instead.
We had the Kirby Dual 80 and the Hoover 29 I restored at home so the upright didn't make sense.
All Sunbeam Vists models were produced in a light blue with dark accents.
Nice line of machines from back in the day.
Pat

Way cool!

Yah gotta luv it when you get a good deal on eBay! Especially for something like this gem. Very nice indeed!

Very nice, and what a great price too. I have been thinking about getting a stick vac for quick pick ups. I know I don't want anything modern, that would be against my religion.

Anyone have a favorite stick vac to recommend?

Pat,

Thanks for the information. I was assuming the 70's... now to find a Challenger witht he power-head...that would be one sweet vacuum.

The bag is like a small version of an F&G Eureka bag. I think I have shome Shetland Broom Vac bags that will work in this as well.

Hey Morgan, I have two of these, both in cream/gold color, one with headlight. I bought one of these new back in the day, and it is one of the best electric brooms out there for performance, you'll truly enjoy it.

Has anyone ever seen the attachment kit that was optional for the sunbeam brooms? I know there was one but have never seen it.

Doug
