Guess what I did?? I fit a 30ft built in hose on to my Filter Queen, along with a german turbo air driven pn. I live in a one bdrm apt about 700 sq ft. I put the F/Q in the broom closet hat is central and attached the hose and plugged it in and wow!! It works great! The hose reaches the entire area, in my apt from the kitchen to the bathroom to the bedroom. The airflow is very powerful at the end of that 30 ft hose. I tested the air driven nozzel.. works great and the n the floor tooland it works great. This is a creative way to have a "central" vac in my apt!!

Sounds like a great idea. I always had the idea of a Hoover
Garage vac in the basement of my old two story house. Run
the hose up to the bathroom thru the clothes shute!
Now I have moved to a two bedroom apt.
Thought about that as an idea for my daughter who wanted
a built in vac but they did not put the lines in the walls
when they built the house. So I've though about installing
a small newtone or Hoover on the garage wall outside the
laundry room door. Then just use a 30ft hose, plus an extra
if she needed more length.

Brad, you surely chose the right vacuum for the job...

aeoliandave's profile picture
...the incomparable Filter Queen known for it's standard 90+ inches clogless lift.

I note also that the hose has an electric pigtail. Assuming that the 30 foot hose carries current you have the future option of connecting any number of PNs or Sidekicks.

I have such a 35' electric central vac hose I've yet to fit to anything but I do use a 45' pale blue non-electric pool hose with a Roll-Easy when I do the car out in the driveway or sucking sand out of the boat carpet when the spring/summer weather gets here sometime in late May.

In your new compact home where are you storing your vast vacuum collection now?

Dave.

Oh btw dave.. I recently had a f/q majestic model 95 in the vac shop for a tune up and it pulled a whopping 120 inches lift!!!! The most I ahve seen yet on a F/Q
