Hi all my BIZ is doing very good a lot of folks are fixing their vacs. i always get good electrolux's and kirby's,and kenmores for their valuable parts. What are your suggestions for vacumms and shampooers that I should look for that have valuable or hard to find parts?

I would say denpending on how old of machines they are depends on what is important in the future. Always, hoses whatever the brand. If they're in good shape, if not save the machine end and the wand/attachment end too. Especially Electric hoses if in good shape complete. Then Kirby cloth bags, carpet heads and attachments for rebuilt machines. Cordwinders
on the cannisteres. Good Kirby cords for the color! Wheels for the same reason.
Good brush rollers and power nozzles.
Those mentioned are what I looked for, so I could use them to sell as a cheaper service part and/or for rebuilding a machine for resale. When I had my shop 25 years ago.

What about hoover parts?

Is striping out the motors for hoover uprights and steam vacs a good idea? I also see many older hoover convertibles and sanitaires ,are these also good canidates for parts?

I would save as many electrolux parts as possible as they are hard to get, Also save the Hoover parts ( but just for us lol)
anyhow they two are getting hard to find.
Another is the Rainbow D-3 There are still many people that have them and the parts are getting harder to find.

I think tha the Hoover parts would be good to have, especially for older models like the Convertible and Concept
