Hi,
I'm new here and was wondering if any has or knows of a replacement motor for my electrolux lx? I've looked around and can't find any that looks like it.The motor has 6500-11 stamped on it and has 3 mounting holes.Any help would be appreciated.

Does your motor have Electrolux stamped on one of the bearing support arms? You might have a replacement motor in there. Also, is there a rubber "boot" between the motor mount and surrounding the motor casting?

All Lux motors Start with 6500

All the two stage Lux motors that have the black plastic on them start with 6500. If you go to ebay type in electrolux motor you'll find a replacement that looks like it. There's one motor that many are selling for $99. It has 6500-293. The Current lux replacement one has 6500-274 stamped on it. Basically the same motor, only difference is that the oem has conical shaped fan. Performance wise, I've tested both, no difference

Hope this helps!

Yes there electrolux stamped on the arm and it does have rubber boot between the motor and impellers housing. Thanks,
Mike

Sorry Mike, I misread, I thought it was a diplomat lx or ultralux lx, in which case the motors I mentioned would work. With the boot you are describing, it sounds more like an sj stlye motor. I do know that Lux does have one to fit the sj version, but be prepared to pay around $180. Don't know if this will work in your application or not.

Nice looking LX, or is that an LXI? I know Brent Watson, too. He's a great guy and has a nice shop. Email me sometime at pressmanjs@yahoo.com.
