Royal Everlast upright vacuum

I got one and I love the construction but mine was so LOUD that back in the box it went and has stayed there for 3 years. It did seem powerful with good agitation. I did not get the above the floor canister or any attachments for the upright.

Royal

Hi, William. You sure are right about the loudness of this machine. It's almost painfull!!! I have to put my Bose headphones on if I'm going to do a full room. I wish Royal would encase the motors like on my Kirby G3 and G4 ( I got the G4 practically brand new at Goodwill for $9.98. I guess the previous idiot owner that you get rid of the machine instead of changing the bag) so I put the outer bag in my WP Duet on the delicate cycle and it was as good as new!!! Thank God for Goodwills!!!!.....Bill in Az.....

Royal Noise

Hello,

I have 3 Royal Everlast vacuums in my collection and they are all 3 very, very noisy. I have models 8100, 8200 and an 8300. I thought it may help to buy Genuine Royal HEPA bags for them and maybe it did a bit but not enough to notice very much. Just for fun I put a Genuine Royal shake out bag on one of them and had to immediately turn it off because it was made much more noise than with paper bags. So, the Everlast outer bag with the HEPA filter bag is the way I go. I have talked to a few Royal dealers and they state this is a big customer complaint. I bought mine new all at the same time for next to nothing new in the box but, bought jets rather than vacs :-)

Beyond LOUD.

I had a Royal Everlast 8200 new. While I loved the styling of the machine the noise
was intolerable. It was like running a lawn mower in the house! Ended up having to get rid of it because of this, which was sad.
