We recently moved into our new house and unlike our last house which was fully carpeted this one has a large laundry room, a large sunroom and the kitchen and dining room all done in 12 inch ceramic white tile. The entrance hall is hardwood as are two stairways and two bedrooms but the livingroom and bedroom hallway plus one bedroom are carpet. Most of my vacs are still in storage at the mini-storage but I have the Eureka canister a G3 & G4 and the little Panasonic Jet Flo Dual Purpose here in the new house. I hadn't much used it other than to try it out a few times when I got it last year and it wasn't that great on carpet but it sure is nice for all that tile and hardwood picking up the mountains of long black dog hair from my two dogs. The great thing about it is it's relatively lightweight, has a brushroll switch (electric) and best of all the sound is very unobtrusive. The brushroll tends to bog down on heavy carpet like my chinese area rugs and you can tell it doesn't do any deep cleaning even on the regular carpet barely skimming the tufts but it's a great vac for quickies. Anyone else like them? plus the fact that they are the sucessors to the DAM.
