Okay, for our Miele experts out there...............Can the Solaris canister take the 236 power nozzle? Does it just fit on like the Champagne, (or others of that ilk)?

Or does it need a different hose and/or wands? I have a friend that has the Solaris but does not have the 236 p/n and I told her she should upgrade but I would have to find out if it would be compatible.

Thanks,
Charlie W.

Charlie,

The black Solaris came in two different versions. The first had an electric hose, but not the electric wand, so the powerhead cord would snap on the wand and the user would manually plug it in. If she has this version she would need the 234 head which is the same as the 236 but with the pigtail cord.

The second version of the Solaris did have the direct connect wand, in which case the 236 would work fine.

Also, do make sure she has the black Solaris Electro Plus. There was also a Solaris (yellow with straight suction rug tool) and Solaris Turbo (very light blue with turbo nozzle). If she has either of these versions then she WILL need to get an electric hose and wand.

Thanks Andy! I'll talk further with her and find out the specifics and maybe I can help her locate a 236 if her model meets the criteria.
I think she will see a significant difference in her rug grooming. She does have 7 cats so an upgraded P/N will be a big plus.

I appreciate your expertise!

Charlie
