Hello James,

I have just read this message and have been into one my cleaner vaults and I have a spare 62 front cover and the variant 'volta' type in maroon but not the 55......but I will be speaking to a man who just might have a 55 end ?

If the 62 end is of use to you, find my email address in my member profile and forward your address.

Regards, Walter, Newport, SHROPSHIRE.

One time the floor in my bedroom started to fall in because I had WAY to many records on the shelves and on top of the shelf was my grandmother's all original White and turquoise Electrolux L. The shelf fell forward and the Lux hit the floor with a crash inches away from me and the back end bent inward. Now the cord winder is lopsided and I can not bend it back to shape with out breaking it. The bad part is I had just rebuilt the motor and got it ready for use. It still works fine but it looks stupid.

SHOP

James,

Hi, long time no speak! :D
Any more news on the shop in Nottingham yet? I must come up and visit you one of these days. It would be good to meet another collector, especially one who is so close. I also have a G4 if you are interested. Needs a little TLC but working none the less.

Happy hoovering,

Clark.

Hello

kirbymodel2c's profile picture
Hi Clark.

Hope your ok.
The shop I was buying and working in feel through.
The lady who owned it went funny and didn't want me to talk to the landlord. Did not like my old vacuums on display either and a few other things which really was nothing to do with her.
I think it was a excuse myself.
Some probably offered here more money.
Plus the land lord was up to something as well.

So really I'm best out of it I think.
I think she may have been trying to do me on some thing.

But I still am hopefully thinking of still opening a shop.
And hopfully get help off the princes trust.

In now live in Hucknull in Nottingham.

But yes we must meet up sometime.

Be nice to see your collection.

Talk soon.

James

Hi James.

Bad luck on the accident, but good news on the spares.

Its the one thing that really worries me about mine and Rob's washing machine collection - they are a b1tch to move and inevitably finish up on their sides in the car.

The older these bits and pieces get, the more fragile they get and the more careful we all have to be with them. Its one hell of a burden - but brings so much fun and enjoyment.
Also enables us to meet new people - see you tomorrow evening to collect Rob's new purchase!

ta ta for now.
Paul

Great to meet you James.

Great to chat too. Believe me when i say I could have stayed chinwagging for hours more, were it not for the drive home.

Will get a better chance to look at the cleaner tomorrow - it looks great.

Keep in touch and will try and visit again, hopefully with rob in tow too!

Cheers
Paul
