I found a brand new in box Hoover Windtunnel 2 Bagged at Sears on clearance for $130 this weekend. I actually find the machine pretty convenient to use but it is a bit heavy and bulky. I was very surprised on how much suction it has. My friend who used to have the original Hoover Windtunnel, his cleaner did not have near the suction that I can recall as this one does. It grooms my carpets very nicely. I'll upload a picture of it tonight when I get home.

I have had one of these since they came out in late
September of 2006. This does a great job on heavy
thick plush, also does a great job on pet hair.
The only thing I have found is that the Hepa Bag
will come fall off of the Bag Collar if the bag
gets over full. Carpet Fresh plays hell with the
bag, the weight is to great for the glue used on the
bag collar, also pet hair tends to collect outside
the bag and keep the secondary filter clean. Bags
are also hard to find, Sears carries the Paper version,
Some Best Buys still carry the Hepa Bags ($10.99 a pack)
or from hoover.com.

Windtunnel II

I have a friend who has a none power drive, no cord rewinde
like this machine. I have used it and dose a wonderful job on carpets. One thing I wondered about is if the handle-
wand. Will be a wearing point as time goes on. Plus personally
I could not use it very long as it seems to be heavy in the
weight, while pushing (maybe power drive is much better). So
I had a back ach both times I used it !
My older, org. windtunnel (about 10 years old now) is loud
but very useable. Expecially for not being a self propelled.
Just my personal experience input.
Norm
