Wow! I have been using the 3M Filtrete Bags on my Kirby Legend with the small rug nozzle and my Kirby G-6. They are fantastic. I don't know how they work, but the airflow is remarkable. They don't seem to loose any suction as the bags fill the resulting scent as you clean seems like just plain old good fresh air -- almost as if you had the window open. This is the third cleaning of the house with the same bag and it still has the fresh scent and seems to be maintaining suction as the bag remains pliable. You have an amazing sense of cleaning. The Legend with the small rug nozzle cleans the large oriental carpet in our great room like nothing I've ever seen. I am absolutely sold on these filtrete bags. They are worth every penny.

I have always respected the cleaning power of my Kirbys, especially the later models. But these kick it way up several notches in my experience.

I would just like to say I agree with you they are very good bags. Keeps the air flow as the bag fills and alot better than emptying a cyclonic bin when it comes to replaceing it.

I have not used the new Kirby Filtrete bags, but in my Ultimate Diamond G I use the Kirby Micron magic bags, the heavy brown paper bag.

When we moved into our current home we had to sand some dry wall in the kitchen. I used the Mircon magic bag in my Ultimate G, with the Kirby Turbo sander from a Herritage. This did a wonderful job of sanding. We ended sandind the whole kitchen, never changed the bad, the machine lost no suction, and there was not dust anywhere. The turbo sander caught all the dust and the Micron bag did not leak any dust.

I was impressed. I did not change the bag until after I had cleaned the house for a couple of more weeks. It still maintained the same suction>

Hello

Are you using the Micron Magic bags or the Micron Magic HEPA bags or the Micron Magic HEPA 3M Filtrete bags?
I use the Micron Magic bags in my G3/Ultimate G Diamond Edition/Sentria...Those bags are fantastic!
Micron Magic 99.7% filtration
Micron Magic HEPA 99.97% filtration
Micron Magic HEPA 3M Filtrete 99.97% filtration
Even the base Micron Magic bag maintains suction and is good for allergy sufferers!

Kirby Bags...

Rob,
I have used all of those and they are really great at filtering. I have had the same experience as you. Now, I use the Micron Magic HEPA 3M Filtrete 99.97% filtration. I find the Filtrete are even better than the others. The airflow is remarkable. It's almost as if you have a new bag in the machine thorughout the use of it. Now, when I use other vacuums without these bags it just doesn't seem as clean.

Take care,
Bruce

I tried the Micron Magic HEPA and the Micron Magic HEPA 3M Filtrete in my Kirbys and they work great!

I am also sold on the Kirby Filtrete HEPA filter bags. When I bought an "Ultimate G" The saleslady mentioned that I was the first customer in my area to try them.she gave me a pack and asked me to try them-the cleaner came with the Micron Magic Bags.I felt they were better than the standard paper bags-although the paper Kirby bags do well on their own.I have found that the Filtrete bags hold close to Three times as much debris as the paper bags-and I have not had any odor problems.the Kirby folks even mention to me that the Filtrete bags were good for dog and cat owners-less smell even though there is more debris in the bag.I just wish Royal would come out with a Filtrete type bag for their metal uprights-that could also be another killer performer. The Filtrete bags for the Riccar Radiance machines work especially well-don't let its small size fool you--the action of the two motors-"push-Pull" action really packs the dirt into the Radiance bag.I also like the performance of the Filtrete bags in my Meile Red Velvet canister.I used the Filtrete bags in an older Meile White Pearl and the improvement was amazing. You can see the diffrences when you test the vacuums with the Baird guage.

Rex

Do they make Filtrete for Electrolux -- the classic style bag that fits everything from the LX to the Ultralux? And what about Compact/Tristar? Just wondering.

No As far as I know-Filtrete bags are not available for for 'Lux and TriStar cleaners-there is a big market here-surprized they are not available for these machines.Maybe the same as for Royal?Could it be for some odd reason-the makers of these machines don't want to use Filtrete?
