Here's a link to a local guy selling this machine. I've never heard of this model. Anybody familiar with this brand?

Never heard of it...you should go get it. Had I known on Friday as I was crawling along the Gardiner/QEW into Hamilton I'd have hopped out of the car and gone grabbed it and probably come back to find the traffic still hadn't budged LOL

Progress brand

hi all,
it is a German brand, as from the 1920s up to the late 70s/ early eighties. (Expired, no more Progress machines today).

See Steven's pages for more info and for photos of some nice 70s style uprights and vacuum ads.

Cheers

forgot something

as you can see on Steve's pages, the original Progress ended in the eighties, (was sold to Electrolux).

here is today's "Progress" brand (actually AEG Electrolux machines relabeled)

the guy hasn't e-mailed me back yet. I had never seen the Progress collecting site before. I like the Mercedes upright!

I'm sure it's going to be a bear to find a hose and wands!
