First of all, let me just say, that the 30th of this Month, will be my 26th Birthday, so EVERYONE, PLEASE make a Note of that, lol! Actually, I'm not really looking forward to it, as I ALWAYS get SCREWED on my Birthday, by my so-called Friends and Family, yup, sadly, it's true, in fact, last Year, for my 25th Birthday, only my GF Ali Bought me any Gifts or even sent me anything really and since we broke up, I'm really not looking forward to this Year, as I know I'm gonna be all ALONE, plus just not have any reason to Celebrate again, so. :( I am trying to let EVERYONE I can know about my Birthday this Year, as I'm not only HOPING for a nice Gift or two, like a Vintage Vacuum to add to my Collection, but it would just be WONDERFUL if I got a few Visits or two you know, so I'm HOPING and Praying as hard as I can here you know... I am going to do a Post about this all sometime here soon and give out ALL my Info, including my Home Address, so maybe just a few of you and all, will make an effort to Visit me or something, but we'll see...? :/ I dunno, but my so-called BEST FRIEND Shawn Wilsie got a VERY EXPENSIVE Gift from me this Year for his Birthday, a SURPRISE Gift, which he told me he LOVED, so maybe this once, I'll get a Gift from him, like another Swiss Watch to add to my HUGE Collection, I mean, he works for Shop NBC, but we'll just have to wait and see you know, but I am WORRIED. :(

Anyway Friends, I just Won today a Hoover Convertible Model 69 off a Guy I know from ebay and need Photos plus Detailed Information about the Model I just Bought you know...? ;) Surprisingly, I was the ONLY person to Bid on it, so I Won it for less then $50 Shipped, which isn't a bad Price or anything and from what I have been told so far, other then some Wear from Age, plus a replacement Plug on what I believe is the Original Cord, I think it was a good Buy, or at least I HOPE so anyway, lol! I mean, I Bought last Month, a Hoover Convertible Model 33, just like Jeff Parkers two from the same Seller and other then a White 35-Foot replacement Cord and internally rebuilt Beater Brush Roll, it's ALL Original and runs AMAZING, so I've had no complaints about it, even though I Paid $80 Shipped for it... :/

Yes, it's true Guys, I have a Convertible Model 33 just like Jeff Parker does... ;) Not to mention, MANY more, in fact, if I Win this other early 60's Convertible I'm Bidding on now, that will make 15 different Total Hoover Convertible's that I now have in my Collection, so needless to say, I've been BUSY and am running out of Space here, lol!

Anywho, all Model 69 Photos and Info will be much APPRECIATED, THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS A LOT Kyle, that's a BEAUTIFUL Model 69 you have there and after seeing yours, I can clearly see now, that mine is ALL Original, well, except for that UGLY replacement Plug, but I can Fix that I'm sure... ;)

I do find it strange though, how on our 69's, not only does it say Convertible on the Headlight Lens, but Bag as well, which is unusual, because I always thought, that when a Convertible said Convertible on the Headlight Lens, the Bag only read Hoover, but I guess I was wrong then...? :/

BTW Kyle, I am EXTREMELY JEALOUS of all your Kenmore and Singer Twin Fan Uprights, as I grew up SURROUNDED by them and owned SEVERAL myself, well, until my Mom made me Sell and Throw away ALL of mine that is. :( Yeah, the last Twin Fan Upright I had was a late 80's Sears Kenmore Self-Propelled Magi-Cord, with the Black Tinted WIDE Headlight and top-fill Cloth Bag, plus two Speed Motor with Motor Reset and needless to say, it was and still is my FAVORITE Vacuum on Earth, I mean, it was the BEST and couldn't be beat, even by a Kirby, was ONE OF A KIND as well, so honestly, if I still had it, I would be the ONLY person on Earth with one, Heck, I still have the Original Instruction Booklet and about 100 top-fill Bags for it, cuz I'm still not over my Mom putting it in the Garbage to be CRUSHED, even though it looked and worked like BRAND NEW. :( I still remember the Day my Mom and Dad Bought it NEW from Sears and brought it Home, so I will NEVER forget it and HOPE to find one like it SOON, although, I doubt I ever will sadly. GOD DO I EVER MISS MY KENMORE AND DREAM ABOUT IT EVEN, JUST AS IF IT WAS STILL IN MY POSSESSION. :(

Later Kyle!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

My other two Kenmores

I'M IN LOVE, THOSE ARE GORGEOUS Kyle, SIMPLY GORGEOUS!!!

OH HOW I WOULD LOVE MORE THEN ANYTHING TO HAVE MY KENMORE AND SINGER VACUUMS BACK, ESPECIALLY THE LAST ONE I TOLD YOU ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

SADLY though, it's IMPOSSIBLE to find any around here now and I only ever saw one on ebay, like your Singer, so I dunno what I'm gonna do you know. :( My Singer and Kenmore Vacs were the BEST EVER you know, but they are ALL gone now, LONG gone. :(

You know my Kenmore Magi-Cord Self-Propelled Vacuum I was telling you about, well, it was sorta a combo between the last two Kenmore's you Posted up for me and your Singer there, but I don't have a Photo to show you though Buddy. :( The Colors of it were like a White, Burgundy or Dark Pink and Gray, so I dunno if that gives you any idea's of what mine was like, but that's really all I can tell you about it, other then it was most like your Black Heavy Duty Kenmore there you know...? :/

GOD I WISH I HAD A PHOTO FOR YOU, BUT ALL I HAVE OF IT NOW ARE IT'S BAGS AND INSTRUCTION MANUAL. :(

BTW Kyle...

I had these EXACT two Kenmore's when I was your Age... ;)

WISH I still had them to. :(

Did someone say 69 ?????

gottahaveahoove's profile picture
I have two and a half of them. I believe it was the first one to have a white handle instead of the handle being the same as the hood.

WOW John, AWESOME Photos as always Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!

As always John, your Photos are the BEST and I LOVE your House and Furniture, in fact, I recently Bought myself from the Salvation Army, a Vintage 1950's Buffet, to use as a Dresser in my Bedroom, cuz it has more then enough Room for my 100+ Watches, lol! I just WISH I could get the Cabinet Door to shut. :(

Anyway, I had a feeling you had at least 1 Model 69 and it THRILLS me to know, that I will have the same Hoover Convertible as you, YAY, lol! Only thing is, mine has a replacement Plug, which SUCKS HONKY DORY, but I guess that can't be helped you know, I mean, where could I possibly get a PERFECT Original Cord you know...? :/ I just HOPE that's the ONLY thing wrong with mine you know, but I won't know till I get it I guess, but it's Cool, I Trust the Seller, have Bought from him before... ;)

BTW Buddy, you know that no-Headlight Model you have there, well, guess what, I have two, yup, I have two Model 593 Convertible's and the one, which I Bought off ebay last Month, looks just like yours, cept for the Bag, which only says Hoover and has a Zipper instead of Snaps like yours, but because it's not in the best Cosmetic shape, I may Dismantle it for Parts, as I could use the Motor, Cord and other Items from it, so I dunno...? I HATE to Destroy it, but I don't need two 593 Convertible's and the one, which I just got from a Guy off YouTube, looks like it's BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX, SERIOUSLY John, it's almost PERFECT, so since I don't need two Aqua or Surf Green 593 Convertible's, I guess it can't hurt to use it for Parts, right, then Sell off the Bag and Hood...? ;)

I'll take a Photo or two for you ASAP here... ;)

Check back soon, later!

OK John, here's a Photo...

This Photo is a little DARK, but it's almost 2AM here, so I can't really help it, although, I will try and take a few more, like with Night Mode on my Cell or something...

The Convertible on the left, is the one like yours, that looks kinda BAD, so I may use it for Parts, as there are A LOT of Items I can really use from it, but I haven't decided if I should still keep it or what...? Oh and the Convertible on the right, is the one I just got from a Guy off YouTube for only $15 and as you can kinda see, it looks BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

by the way,

gottahaveahoove's profile picture
I have "doubles" of at least 10 machines! not sure what I'll do with them. I'm not stingy, but I HATE to see a convertible go......

Post# 53218 , Reply# 20   10/9/2008 at 04:58 (5,649 days old) by moparhemipower ()
OK John, I have some better Photos for you!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yes, I put my Cell in Night Mode, which I really haven't used before and WOW, what a difference it made, so please enjoy Friend!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yeah, honestly John, I really want to keep my BEAT UP 593 to use as my Daily Driver Convertible you know, I mean, with it, I don't have to worry about Damaging anything, like with my other Convertible's if you know what I mean, but I DESPERATELY NEED the Motor from it for my 1020 and think the Cord would look nice on my Model 33 Special Convertible, but I dunno...? :/

If you look to the far right John, on my Coffee Table, you will see my Model 33 and also, if you look behind my Convertible's, you will see that Vintage 50's Buffet I was telling you about, with my Model 65 Displayed PROUDLY on it, lol!

Another... ;)

Notice how COMPLETELY different my two 593 Convertible's are, Heck, they don't even sound anything alike, not even close!!!!!!!!

Also, here you can see how truly PERFECT my $15 YouTube 593 really is... ;)

This one didn't come out so well and I have no idea why, but oh well...? :/

Last one... ;)

Hope you enjoyed my Photos John, but you know how you said you have Extra's of some of your Convertible's, well, I was wondering if maybe you had some Spare Parts or something, as I need a few Convertible Parts myself...?

I highly doubt you'll have what I so BADLY need, but it can't hurt to ask you, so here it goes...

I need a GOOD Original Hoover Cord for my early 60's Hoover Convertible Special Model 33, plus a replacement Metal Medallion, as mine is Scratched and Dented.

I need a GOOD full Hood and Headlight Lens in Harvest Gold for my Hoover Convertible Model U4007, as the Lens is Warped and the Hood is Damaged right above the Lens, so...

I need a replacement Original Handle Bail for my Model 707 Convertible and Headlight Bulb Assembly, cuz my Handle Bail was BROKEN in two during Shipping and the MORON who Sold it to me, thought installing a Kirby Headlight Bulb would be just wonderful, so when I first turned it on, the WHOLE Headlight Bulb Assembly in mine, CAUGHT ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, as you already know, I need a replacement two Speed Motor for my 1020, as I pretty much have given up on Fixing it's Motor, lol!

Let me know John if you have anything I need here and if so, let me know ASAP, plus Post up some Photos, THANKS A LOT Buddy!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
