Hello!
I just finished repairing my Electrolux xxx and I absolutely love it! I also Jerry-rigged it to use bags and filters. I was just wondering about the suppressor. I read a previous thread about it and thought to check mine, but I have no idea where it is! I think I found it but in the photo from the other thread it was cylindrical not square (I circled it in red) Is this the suppressor? How do I remove it? Does this specific model not have one? (It’s from 1950) Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
-Jack

If the frame of the motor has a number 6500-11 that motor went to a model 60.

Anyway you could just clip the wires (from the capacitor) at the connection points by the switch and undo the nut on the suspension ring take the wire from the capacitor off. Put the nut back on the suspension ring and then unclip the capacitor from the motor frame and remove it.
