Hello!

kirbyman65's profile picture
Do you happen to have any of the plastic brackets to hold the motor in on a Hoover elite?

Post# 475267 , Reply# 3   1/25/2025 at 17:50 by Rugsucker (Elizabethton TN)
Hoover

I will have some parts including NOS from this era but probably no belt side brackets.

Hey Jack just though I'd pass this along, Someone designed a 3-d printed mount, if you don't have a 3d printer you could seek out a business that will do the print for you.

Does the elite commercial

have a belt side bracket? Just wondering. It's fine if you don't have time to check, I know you're busy.

Bracket?

It may. Handle didn't wobble. Elites became a good vac for the price. Did not like later fan and plastic rear axle.

Brian,

Most times are as good as any if weather is good and not the snow and 5 degrees we had earlier. Call first! to let me know what you want and how easy to locate from 2 buildings. I am close to Boone & Newland and an easy and scenic drive over the mountains from Asheville.

What condition are they in exactly, and if you were to sell and ship them, how much would it be for?

-condition?-sell?-ship?-

Condition-Probably mostly good.As I have a full time book store in which we rearranged 8 shelves yesterday that I now have to fill with 100s of books from dozens of boxes I have little time for this.
Sell-My prices would probably start at $20.
Ship-I could take any to the nearby UPS.I could remove handles, explain packing, etc. You would then pay them for all packing and shipping from Zip 37643.

Today's trash --

It's warmer today with most snow melted and was able to move this out while looking for another vac. Much more will go out faster with longer days and better weather. If any have wants let me know before the scrap guy gets them.

Can you help?

I am looking for a latch for a Hoover Slimline canister. This latch holds the canister halves together.

Gone! I did save motor brackets from the 2 Hoovers. There is much more, your silence or response will decide if it goes to collectors or scrap.

That one is hiding in picture 2 reply 20. Any spare time this week was taken with a large order for vintage uprights and getting a shipment ready for the west coast. Will try to talk to you over the weekend.

I don’t know why, but I do have a soft spot for Regina Electrikbrooms.
I like that early American bag design too. But, I can see that most, if not all of them need at least some work. Unfortunately, that’s beyond my ability. Not to mention, I can’t get to TN, and shipping would be quite pricey.
I’m truly sorry.

Jimmy,

What model and type is each Eureka Roto-Matic? Do you have original hoses and tools for them?

Eurekas

Will try to look closer as limited time allows. As with much here there are several more. Many will have hoses, attachments and bags.
