i found out something about the kirby classic III that i did not know.it's the way the motor housing is made that you can not see the motor shaft.only the cooling fan.can't see the hole to insert an awl or something to hold the shaft from turning while trying to remove the suction fan.i wanted to replace the lexan with a metal fan.i could not stop the motor shaft from turning & could not get the fan off.so i guess it's lexan fan.

Dwayne,

You might want to take a look at these two pages in the official Kirby Classic III service manual as to how to get your fan unstuck.
